In the gray cold of winter, let’s warm our souls with music, colors, and conversations, and our bodies with rhythms, food, and drinks.
We’ll gain insight into Africa’s diverse and traditional culture, meet Lamine Sissoko, a Senegalese Mandinka kora artist and griot, who will not only perform for us but also discuss the role of griots in African society. We’ll explore the royal regalia of the Kuba Kingdom of Congo, discover the beads, flavors, and dances of Ghana, and admire the classic textiles of West Africa.
