Environmental education
We supported our partner organisation to hold Environmental Education lessons in primary and secondary schools in Mali.
In 2021 we supported our partner organisation Environmental Education and Youth Empowerment in Mali (EEYE) to hold an environmental awareness program that included plastic waste collection, sorting and recycling education in 10 primary schools in Kati (Mali) with the participation of local volunteers. We also financed the acquisition of collection bins and tools.
In the first trimester of the 2023/24 school year, with the financial support of Hungary Helps Agency, we supported our partner organisation to hold Environmental Education lessons in 15 primary and secondary schools in Kati and Bamako (Mali). In this project the 15 educators teach over 1.000 children about the enviroment and how to take good care of it. They go on field trips too where they learn about the nature and and the importance to keep it clean.
