This 2nd-grader boy lives in a family of three children in a rented hut. Ousmane is the youngest of the family so far. His parents did not go to school. The father is a salesman in a store, the mother is a housewife and occasionally sells fruit juice in the market. Ousmané has an old tattered math textbook, his school equipment is the minimum, 2 notebooks, a pen, a pencil, a tattered little backpack. He likes going to school. At home, his job is to carry water. Sometimes he helps his father sell vegetables in the shop. In his spare time, he likes to play soccer, Barcelona is his favorite team and Messi is his favorite player, and he likes playing glass balls with his friends or watching cartoons on TV. According to his mother, he is a good child, polite and respectful. He would love to have a soccer ball.
