Fatoumata Camara

The 3rd grader little girl lives in a family of ten children, together with her father's extended family. Fatoumata is the youngest of the family. Among her parents, her father went to school, finished high school, but was unable to graduate. The father works in a factory, the mother is a housewife and occasionally sells fruit juice at the market. Fatoumata has an old, tattered textbook, her school equipment is the minimum, 2 notebooks, a pen and a pencil. She likes going to school. At home, she helps with cleaning the house and doing the dishes. In her free time, she likes to dance, play jumping school with her friends, jump rope, but unfortunately, she doesn't have her own, she says. She likes to dance and play, but not to sing. She has many friends. She wants to be a police officer. According to her mother, she is a good child, respectful and if she has a full stomach, there is no problem with her, but if she is hungry, she fights a lot. She wants school supplies and school equipment and a jump rope. She is a good student, one of the top 3 in her class of 77 students.
