Djoma Samake

Born in 2009, the fourth grade boy lives in a family of five children, he has two brothers and two sisters. The family lives together with the father's extended family in a narrow courtyard. The father works in a mattress factory, the mother runs the household. Both parents went to school, so all children of school age are sent to school. His only textbook is a French book. Djoma likes reading a lot, so his favorite subject is reading too. And finally a patriot: Mali is his favorite soccer team. He likes playing football and sometimes helps to clean. He wants a bag and books to read. Tuition fees are difficult to pay, and payments are often missed.
